Gionee E3 with Quad Core processor, 8MP camera, Android 4.2 launched 1

If you thought that the market was saturating in India, think again. After ZTE announced the launch of a slew of handsets in the Indian market, there is another Chinese smartphone company making its presence felt in the market. And lo this happens immediately after the arrival of the Chinese Prime Minister in India.

Both the nations have signed 8 agreements of great importance to both the nations. But while a number of Chinese companies have made announcement to enter the Chinese market, there are almost no announcement by Indian companies to enter the Chinese market. No Indian smart phone maker is trying to grab Chinese market, no computer manufacturer is trying to sell computer there and become top computer vendor there and no Indian car manufacturer is making announcement after being enticed by the Chinese Prime Minister’s assurance that he will open up the Chinese market for the Indian companies.

All announcements seem only from the Chinese side to enter the market in India.

Another Chinese company Gionee has made a grand entry in the market and has introduced a great handset in the form of E3, a quad-core handset with 4.7-inch display.

The handset seems to be well built and in looks and build quality follows Nokia style. The handset comes with a rather very good 4.7-inch IPS HD display. When it comes to internal storage the handset comes with an impressive 16 GB on board memory. The handset comes with an impressive 8 mega pixel rear camera with auto focus besides a front facing 2 megapixel camera for video chatting.

The handset is going to be a big threat to not just Samsung’s Galaxy Grand that comes with lower specifications than Gionee’s E3. But the main victim may be an Indian company Micromax whose highest selling A116 Canvas HD comes for almost the same price. With better specs, E3 will beat other handsets from other Indian smartphone vendors with rather ease besides Micromax’s A116.

i was looking at some on the reviews on youtube.. by the look of things it seems to be a great proposition. awesome screen, better than average specs, generous internal storage and a very good camera.. i am sure with such specifications, the company would surely capture the a major pie of the market. seems to be a warning signal for some of the indian manufacturers like Micromax, Lava, Karbonn etc..
